Raz Zimmt, PhD 


Raz is a junior research fellow at the Alliance Center for Iranian Studies at Tel-Aviv University and the editor of the weekly Spotlight on Iran, published by the Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center.

He completed his PhD at Tel Aviv University in 2011. Under the supervision of Prof. David Menashri & Prof. Eyal Zisser, his dissertation focused on Iranian Policy Towards Nasserism and Arab Radicalism: 1954 – 1967.


Raz has contributed numerous reviews for the ACIS Iran Pulse and published articles in other media outlets, among his pupblications:

His fields of specialization include: modern political history of Iran and contemporary Iranian politics and society.
