Annie Tracy Samuel

Annie is a Ph.D. candidate in history at TAU; a junior research fellow at the ACIS and the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern and African History, and a a predoctoral research fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School’s Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs.

Her doctoral dissertation examines the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps and the Iran-Iraq War and analyzes how the Guards have documented the war and their roles in the conflict. Her research interests include Iranian security and foreign policy, civil-military relations, the role of Islam in military and foreign policy, and US policy in the Middle East. She has published several articles on those subjects and has presented her work at a number of universities and conferences.
