Who we are

The Department at Tel Aviv University is the home of Asia on its Own Terms program, funded by the Yad Hanadiv Foundation. The department enjoys a cohort of researchers covering a broad range of periods, topics, disciplines and methodologies; includes a balanced cohort of established and young faculty members; and is committed to a diversified and deeply-rooted interdisciplinary research.

Asia on its Own Terms project consists of three research clusters of teachers and students, focusing on the themes of Identity; Nature; Body and Culture, through cross-cultural research.
