Haim Admor

Haim Admor is a PhD candidate at the Tel-Aviv University, and was awarded the 2008-2009 Louise and Dr. Nahum Barag scholarship.
He is also a member of the Society for the Study of Ethiopian Jewry (SOSTEJE), and has participated at several international conferences.
Haim conducted, at the Tel Aviv University, a restoration project of the Jacques Faitlovitch Collection's archive, devoted to the Ethiopian Jewry's history.
His Master thesis (summa cum laude) offers an argumentative analysis of the 1909 report of the Alliance Israélite Universelle's mission to the Beta Israel community in Ethiopia (Ethiopian Jews). His current research, supervised by Ruth Amossy and Emanuela Trevisan-Semi (Venice), focuses on the argumentative analysis of the main discourses which, from the 19th century onwards, centered on the Beta Israel's Jewish identity issue.
